    I very exhaustive list but really who has time to do everything on that list. What you choose to focus on when optimising is as important as what you actually do.

    It would be nice if this list was put into order of priority. Also, many items need some explanation. For example, adding a forum to your website is not going to increase traffic if no-one ever uses it.

    Also, I think many webmasters get hung up on the number of visitors they get. What is far more important is giving visitors what they are looking for. High bounce-rates indicate you are not doing this.

    Forum pages can actually have a bad effect on bounce-rates. If members of the forum are limited and not many new posts are made then all your regular member will simply view the forum index, see that no new threads or replies have been added and leave again.
