As some of my blog theme seem pretty beautiful without post-meta section in index.php,
I have commented "post-meta" (i.e. author name, post date, comment count etc.) section of the post in home page (index.php).

(NOW it only show, post title and excerpt in home page posts).

    (1) Does it hamper to any search engine or visitor experience? What do you think about it?

    (2) Which one is a good practice, "Commenting" or "deleting" source code, in such situation?

commenting and deleting is the same - bot won't read that.

u can show that information and use it to put some microformats on your site. Get familiar with schema.org
