    SEO gurus,
I was just wondering if one define a word on a page with say <h2> tag in a style sheet rather than directly on HTML page, does this matter in any way to how search engine spider see the word? I mean SE spider sees it and <h2> tan 'crdit' it as such?

Spiders will retrieve <hx> tag contents and treat them as headings regardless of CSS.
At the moment it is the general consensus that external CSS files are not retrieved by Bots. However be prepared for External CSS to be heavily scrutinised if your site is subject to a spam report and that could be either an Auto scrutinisation or a Manual examination or possibly an Automated Bot followed by more close Manual examination.

In addition, it is widely thought that Google in particular are toying with automated CSS checking. That could mean "Short Term Gain but Long Term Pain" as we have seen many times over the years.

Maybe, brush up on Reinclusion Request procedures !!!!!!!!!
