Difference Between SEO and SEM.
To do optimization to a website is SEO, making that promotion website to promote level that is a SEM.....
SEO and SEM both are different to each other. SEO is stand for Search Engine Optimization. SEO is combination of two part. 1 Off page and 2 On page.
SEM is stand for Search engine marketing.It is the techniques of getting traffic or visibility on search engine. It is a part of internet marketing.Pay per Click and Cost Per Click are part of Search engine marketing.
The term SEO stands for search engine optimization. It is a process that is used to improve the ranking of a website in a search engine. SMO, on the other hand, stands for social media optimization. The purpose of SMO is to use social media to increase traffic to a website.
SEO means search engine optimization. It is a strategy mainly used to optimize your website and to increase its visibility and ranking on SERP. Whereas SEM is search engine marketing which means marketing on search engines that includes PPC i.e. paid advertising.
Most of the people think that SEO and SEM are different but i am here to explain you that SEO is the smallest part of SEM. Yes some of the answers are really great and appreciable but they would not be touch the exact difference between them.

I think in simple words we can say seo is the part of sem. because sem is broad term.
