More than 100 million people are online in China
Google has denied accusations that its new Chinese-language search engine is operating without a licence.
It follows a report in the Beijing News that Google did not have the correct paperwork for its China site.

  2. china is very anti-freedom of speech. chinese surfers are behind a country-wide firewall that won;t allow them access to sites like bbc.co.uk, cnn.com or even wikipedia.org.

china is an example of hw the internet can be grown and strangled at the same time...

PI, you'd be amazed, given the above avg intelligence within the Chinese culture, how easily they can bypass these filters. This may be the downfall of communism, as we know it today, them being able to access multiple forms of media/information.

I'm not pumping Google, just people who wish to be free, a normal trait among all human beings.

Here, we say God Bless America, but in reality, it's God Bless the World. And F those who wish to destroy freedom.

Paul, the downfall of the communism in China was a few years back when the Chinese governement allow anybody to make any company they want. This is just the opposite of communism.

China is still a communist state, just as Cuba and North Korea.
