Simple, just get to the front page of Digg
The link you posted seem to be down and how did getting to the frontpage of digg help get a domain out of the hands of cybersquatters?
The website is back up The website it linked to, claimthisdomain.com, was anhiallated (sp?) by Digg. As a result, they gave up the domain for free!
I guess I'll Google it, but in the mean time, is this true?
Now I can see the site, well, if Digg is the central strategy in your online promo I guess if you are banned by Google that is the end of the road.
The quote? Or the story? I'm assuming the story is true. I don't know whether Domain Squatting is illegal or not.
I think squatting with the intent purpose to sell to someone who owns the equivalent domain in .co.uk etc is illegal but owning a domain in .com and sitting on .co.uk isn't.
That's funny. And how will they prove intent? For example, I buy some cool domain name,
sit on it for awhile because of - whatever... Now, how are they going to prove my intent
to sell it? Unless they are on the advertising forums searching me out
when you send someone email with the sales offer or post it somewhere for sale with significant price tag...
