Benefits and features are the two most important part of any product.
Unfortunately, people seem to get confused and focus on the features.

Benefits are what will sell the product, not features.

Example: Which of the below would be more likely to sell the golf club?

: The RBZ Driver has a white matte finish.
Benefit: The head appears larger and it is easier to hit the golf ball.

Feature: The RBZ Driver has a state of the art corbotitaniumwhiffle shaft.
Benefit: The shaft helps keep the club head on line on the downswing and therefore eliminates your slice.

I agree that any benefits/advantages always come before any features. Even though kids usually have a different point of view. :)

The features are what the product come with, and the benefits are why that is helpful for you. That's how it was brought to me when I worked for a certain company. We used to have to give benefit statements, which included the feature, but must also include why they wanted that feature. It is a very helpful sales tool. So I agree it is important to understand the difference especially in a sales environment.
