Designing a website has become a relatively easy venture nowadays and needn't be costly. One of the most significant factors in web design is the number of browsers in public use along with preference settings for each individual user. Standards and guidelines are set, but because of the many individual differences no two browsers present the same viewing. This is good to remember when developing your own website.

If markup is W3C compliant it shouldn't matter what browser displays the page. If the browsers are still not consistent in the way they display the content then it is the browser that does not comply with the W3C standards.

You mention SEO right at the end of your post after the site has been built. This is the same mistake that 90% of web designers/builders make. If you want your website to attract visitors you need to think about optimisation right from the start of the process.

One of the steps that many web designers forget is to design a website with a purpose in mind. The layout and structure of the whole site should revolve around the objectives that it needs to achieve for its owners.

I think you should concentrate on the final content submissions because your site optimization is all about site content and coding.
