A slew of WEB2.0 companies will fail this year in the face of users revolt against online advertising according to Mark Anderson.

I am not a big fan of networking site, don't have a facebook or MySpace page but I had a geo cities webspace once which I closed because of too much adverts on the webspace geocities gave me.

Do you think Mark Anderson is right? will excessive advert make people use Facebook etc less?

Excessive ads are kind of annoying and also make pages to load much slower. I am not sure if MySpace and Fasebook will suffer since it's mostly kids and teens user base but examples of sites I can't stand for that reason is Digg and free image hosting imageshack.
