Because those numbers are traffic than can be directed to our sites, with social marketing. One friend I have wrote on my facebook wall that, "Stumble Upon makes it look like you really like yourself " - as I Stumble my blogs. I wrote back, "Yeah, and it's bringing in great traffic (at times) too! " So are you seriously looking at social networks for your marketing, or are you still "old school" in your thinking that those sites are for teenagers? And just to let you know, 41% of Facebook users are over 45 years old.
